Google Classroom is a free service for educational intuitions, including schools and universities. Classroom allows educators to enroll students in a digital class, which is a page for students to access their assignments, including instructions, due dates, and other helpful tools. It makes the work of the teacher easier as well as encourages the students to learn and explore. We can have effective teaching and learning by using Google classroom. we can provide direct feedback to individual students and even provide an announcement which is very much useful to both teachers and students in building positive learning.
Steps to create Google Classroom.
1. To create google classroom, we need a Gmail account.
2. Then, log in to Gmail account and click on the google classroom button option to create google classroom.

3. Then click on the Classroom icon
4. click on PLUS sign and choose CREATE CLASS.
5. Next choose class and section. Then click on create.
6. Click on CLASSWORK to add reading materials and assignment link. You can make announcements to your students at STREAM section as shown below.
7. For the students to join the class, share the class code or invite them through mail. we can also add co teacher.
How to use Google classroom in teaching and learning ?
I have created Google classroom for class 4, science with the title food chain.I have added reading materials, added one YouTube link for them to watch and even created quiz to check their understanding.
Google classroom can be integrated across all subjects allowing students to learn online. This platform enables both teachers and students to continue their teaching learning virtually. There will be a shift in paradigm from teacher-centered to student- centered. Therefore, through google classroom teacher and students can learn as if they are in real classroom, doing assignments, tests, quiz, submitting task and giving feedback and we can also grade them.
